New patient today. 70 year old man - ex traffic police officer. This lesion has been growing over last 18 months. I am going to excise it later today. What will the histology report say ?
Sorry I tried to post this in the dermoscopy section but I just got the server error message again.

Interseting case, dermoscopy here is pure mental masturbation as this has clear cut malignancy written all over it. Looks to be an MM with negative network and ulceration and peripheral irregular globules. I wouldn;t be terribly surprised if it was a bCC too, but my money (and I don;t have a lot) is on MM

My bet is hypomelanotic melanoma.

Histology just back - superficial spreading melanoma, Clark level 4, Breslow thickness 1.25mm, mitotic index 1/sq mm.
Marked chaos plus clues to melanoma - multiple colours, inverse pigment network, multiple brown dots / clods and dot/ irregular linear vessels
There appears to be some ulceration in the south east but this is not mentioned in the synoptic report.
